BEYOND THE MATTER
:trace of memory
INTRODUCTION
The studies led to the study of the materiality relationships between traces of objects, memories and attachment. By looking at the fragments of the cloth edges, frayed warp and weft, the persistence of traces of matter and the fragility of fading memories are contrasted by the passage of time, as a reference and the function of traces are recreated as a bond between unseen memories and reality.
Chinoiserie
:Imagining the unknown cultural
INTRODUCTION
Chinoiserie is the emerging decorative style represented by the terms vintage elegance, luxury and exoticism, classical orientalism. An imaginary dream country shaped by Europeans, it is never real, far and near, mysterious and dreamy, and there is no place to find this country, in this fantasy world with the mystery of the Oriental dream and France's noble and luxurious romance as the embellishment makes the European aristocrats of this culture full of mystery, romance and strange encounters.
The Auspicious Cloisonné
INTRODUCTION
Porcelain China-enamel, it first came to China from abroad and from Guangzhou to the world.
It is an exclusive luxury product of the royal aristocracy. Then it took root in the folk and made enamelware with Chinese characteristics and became famous overseas, becoming a well-known in history. Exported commodities are also the result of ocean trade and are now the country's intangible cultural heritage. But today these ancient things are not understood and cared for because people are not interested, so
I want to communicate the relationship between "things" and "people", the relationship between
"history" and "development", preserve precious materials like artisans who are historically silent, and promote the development and utilization of traditional cultural resources. "Do not forget history to open up the future, good at inheritance can be good at innovation." Reinforcement between the use of cultural relics and non-heritage activation, I may not be as great as the ancients, but as a descendant to absorb the cultural treasures they left behind
DON’T FORGET ME
INTRODUCTION
In my daily life, food often doesn't get eaten in time and spoils. The tastier and fresher the food, the less time it seems to last. I am sorry for this, but at the same time I am thankful for the hard-earned food. I began to think that the process of rotting might once again create a new value, and I used this as inspiration to start my research.
COMMODITISED WORLD
: about the future
INTRODUCTION
This project focuses on the changing forms of barter in the future world. It is a way of imagining and exploring the future of human nature and commercial value systems. So, I have labelled each character with a commercial value, where colour is the embodiment of emotion and the abstract human nature of
emotions, memories and personality traits of the characters in the future world can be exchanged for money. This is certainly a challenge to human nature and desire. So, I designed unique chip values for each character in my experiment.
And by studying the structure of the chips, I came up with a series of ideas for the design of the pattern prints.
